We are a local and independent bookkeeping company who support small and medium sized businesses across East and West Sussex.

Umbrella Bookkeeping was formed after the founder, Gersha, spent time working in a large financial institution. The need for small and medium sized businesses to have a better and more cost effective solution for their financial requirements soon became apparent. Umbrella Bookkeeping was created with this goal in mind and the aim of equipping companies with the tools they need to firstly ensure their business is on track financially, and secondly to drive results for their business.

We have a small team of highly qualified and experienced bookkeepers. Working with a wide range of accounting software packages to support the needs of your business our team regularly work with KashFlow, Sage, quickbooks and Zero.

Bookkeeping Prices

A key aspect of our bookkeeping service is its flexibility. We undertstand that one size does not fit all and we offer bespoke packages to fit the individual needs of your business. Choose from an ad-hoc option through to a regular fixed priced service:

• Ad-Hoc (£25.00 per hour) - For businesses who do not need a regular service
• Regular (£22.50 per hour) - A continuous service with a reduced hourly rate  ‍
• Fixed Price Rates - For businesses who know the specific length of time they need our services for

Why Hire a Bookkeeper?

Our role as a bookkeeper reduces the duties of your accountant, saving you time and money. We will work alongside your accountant at year end and provide all the required accounts and information. By streamlining your year end process the time of your accountant will be free to focus on devising tax strategies and tax returns in a timely manner.

If you leave bookkeeping and accounts until the end of the tax year your company could be at risk of not keeping track of essential management information. As your bookkeeper we will provide you with this information and Cashflow forecasts vs Actuals and Key performance indicators. Having this information to hand will allow you to see how your business is performing throughout the year and areas that may required more attention.
