We are a small team of independent bookkeepers based in Brighton, near Worthing. We work with a range of small and medium sized businesses across West Sussex and extensively within the Worthing area.

Following work in a large financial institution, Gersha, the founder of Umbrella Bookkeeping, became aware of the need for small and medium sized businesses to have a more cost effective solution for their financial needs. Umbrella Bookkeeping was formed with the ultimate goal of helping companies drive results for their business and providing them with all the tools they need to ensure their business is on track.

Our team of qualified bookkeepers work with whatever software package you are working with. We have vast experience in a range of payroll, business and accounting software packages including KashFlow, Sage, quickbooks and Zero.

Bookkeeper Prices

One size does not fit all when it comes to bookkeeping and this is why we have made our service as flexible as possible. Depending on the individual needs of your business we can offer one-off ad-hoc work or a more regular bookkeeping service: 

• Ad-Hoc (£25.00 per hour) - If you do not require a regular service then this option is ideal.
• Regular (£22.50 per hour) - A reduced hourly rate for regular, scheduled work. ‍
• Fixed Price Rates - For businesses who know the exact length of time they require our services for.

Our role reduces the time and duties performed by your accountant as we work alongside them at year end to provide all the necessary information and accounts. This streamlines your year end process and frees up your accountant to concentrate on devising tax strategies and producing your tax return in a timely manner.

Your company may not be keeping track of essential management information if you leave bookkeeping and accounts preparation to your accountant at year end. Our role will be to provide you with this information as well as Cashflow forecasts vs Actuals and Key performance indicators, so that you can clearly see how your business is performing throughout the year. In turn this will highlight business areas which most require attention.
